Thank for your interest in MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). MOPS International exists to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. You have inquired about the Columbus, Indiana chapter of MOPS International. Our chapter is based at Grace Lutheran Church located at 3201 Central Ave.

The following is some background information for our group. We follow the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation schedule. We meet September through the end of April to accommodate mothers with older school age children. Our meetings are on Wednesday’s starting at 9:00am and ending at 11:15am. Generally how that works is, we (the mothers) meet every other Wednesday and the children come every Wednesday. We are one of only a handful of MOPS groups in the United States that offers a MOPPETS program. MOPPETS is an outstanding program for your children. They are cared for by loving volunteers in a structured Christian environment. They have playtime, crafts, temple talk with the minister of the church, music, outdoor play and a snack. When we are not meeting as a group, you are able to drop your children off at the MOPPETS program and have a Mom’s Morning Out.

During our meetings, we have prayer time, brunch, a speaker, occasionally a craft and we meet in discussion groups to discuss that days speaker topic. This is an equally wonderful program for our mothers as the MOPPETS program is for our children. I can’t say enough about our MOPS program. It truly is an amazing group to be a part of.
